As Gallaudet University President Hurwitz's term comes to an end after six years with him leaving office at the stroke of midnight on December 31, he shares his thoughts with alumni. Along with Mrs. Hurwitz, he did a vlog highlighting their accomplishments during his tenure.

Informaton About GUAA Tours Now Online
The Gallaudet University Alumni Association is thrilled to announce two upcoming tours. The first is set to take place in October 2016 in New England. showcasing the beauty of fall foliage and the rich historical details of the region. The second tour will be in the Pacific Northwest and takes place in June 2017. Both tours are open to alumni and non-alumni. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early.

Alumni Input Sought On Research Priorities for Gallaudet
One of Gallaudet's goals is to become the epicenter of research, development, and outreach leading to advancements in knowledge and practice for people who are deaf and hard of hearing. The university is seeking alumni input on the five draft integrated research priorities to see where the university should go next. The survey which is done in both ASL and English can be viewed by clicking on the link. The deadline to participate is Tuesday, December 23, 2015.

NPKZ and IDADES Join Forces To Raise Funds For Housing For Single Mothers Who Wish To Attend Gallaudet
The Sisters of the International Alumnae of the Delta Epsilon Sorority (IADES) and the National Organization of the Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority (NPKZ) have collaborated fund raising efforts since 2013 to establish a scholarship called the ?E and fKZ Woman Scholarship. The scholarship is to provide financial assistance for housing costs for one qualified full time Gallaudet student who is a single mother. Applicants do not need to be a member of either sorority.
