History-making major leaguer Curtis Pride to coach at Gallaudet
Curtis Pride, the first full-season deaf player in the modern era of Major League Baseball, announced that he will retire from professional baseball and take up the position of head baseball coach at Gallaudet.

MSSD's Mark Burke, '94 named Redskins' High School Coach of the Week
Burke is the first deaf coach to earn this distinction, which is awarded based on commitment to youth football, motivating student-athletes, overall community involvement, and team performance.

Gallaudet basketball teams to play in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Gallaudet menís and womenís basketball teams will bring Bison hoops action to alumni in the Knoxville, Tenn. area on December 14 and 15.

Theatre Arts presents fundraising event, 'The Snow Queen'
"The Snow Queen," based on a famous story by Hans Christian Andersen, is an aerial and mask performance incorporating a hearing and deaf cast. Performances, which will raise funds for Theatre Arts, will be on December 4-6 and 11-13 in Elstad Auditorium.
