GUAA Funds Available for Full-Time Deaf/HOH PhD Students
Since 1968, the Gallaudet University Alumni Association (GUAA), through the Graduate Fellowship Fund (GFF), has provided support for full-time deaf and hard-of-hearing full-time students studying for PhD (or terminal) degrees. For more information on the application process, click on the link which will take you directly to the GFF website. The deadline to apply for the 2016-2017 academic year is Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Email alumni.relations@gallaudet.edu if you have additional questions.

Remaining Gallaudet Clubs for Regional Academic Bowls to be Held in March
Gallaudet alumni can "hit two birds with one stone" by attending regional competitions for the Gallaudet University Academic Bowl for Deaf and Hard of Hearing High School Students as well as Gallaudet Clubs (alumni events).

Tickets Still Available For 47th Annual Charter Day Awards and Brunch!
Tickets are available for this year's award recipients for the 47th Annual Charter Day Awards and Brunch Program. This is a diverse group of outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the deaf community. The awards program will be held Saturday, April 9, at the Peikoff Alumni House, and the deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, April 1. See flyer for ticket information so if you would like to be part of the celebration, reserve your spot while space is still available.

Washington Chapter to Host Fundraiser to Support Gallaudet Student Scholarships
The Washington State Chapter of the GUAA is hosting a fundrasier on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Abused Deaf Women Advocacy Services (ADWAS) in Seattle where the proceeds will go towards student scholarships for Gallaudet students. There will be bunco along with a competition for the best homemade dessert at this event and tickets are limited with $15 for GUAA members. The deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday, March 10 so be sure to get yours early. See the flyer for more information.

President Cordano to be Guest Speaker at Riverside Chapter Event
The Riverside Chapter of the GUAA is hosting a social gathering on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Wick's Brewery from 2:30-6 p.m. President Roberta "Bobbi" Cordano, is the guest speaker. There will also be an election for new officers for the chapter. Admission is $10 for Riverside Chapter of the GUAA members. Click on the link to view the flyer for more information.
