President Hurwitz looks to Gallaudet's future in State of the University address
President Hurwitz outlined the planning process for Gallaudet's continued success and his confidence in each member of the campus community to carry the University forward at his February 17 State of the University address.
2011 Commenceme?nt Speaker and Honorary Degree Recipients Announced
Distinguished individuals who will receive honorary degrees at Gallaudet's 142nd Commencement exercises on Friday, May 13 have been announced by President Hurwitz. The Commencement speaker has also been named.

Join President Hurwitz on a bicycle ride
The Laurent Clerc Cultural Fund Committee is organizing a fundraising bicycle ride with President Hurwitz on Saturday, May 7. Advance purchase tickets are $25, $30 at the door. The 20-mile route begins at Gallaudet and ends in Old Town Alexandria, Va.
Gallaudet swimming team makes NEAC championship sweep
The Bison made a championship sweep in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with the men's swimming team winning its first title for the program, Brian Bennett being named Swimmer of the Year, and Bill Snape honored as Swimming Coach of the Year.
Alumna featured on 'White House Blog'
Leah Katz-Hernandez, '10, who has a degree in government, interned at the White House last fall in the Office of Public Engagement. She writes about her internship experience in a February 24 posting on "The White House Blog."
