Charter Day Awards Program flyer online
You are invited to celebrate Gallaudet's 148th Charter Day on Saturday, April 14! This year, Charter Day and the Academic Bowl National Competition are happening the same weekend. Charter Day will be hosted by GUAA/LCCF, and Alumni Relations. See the flyer for names of the 2012 award recipients and details about the Awards Program. The deadline for reservations is Friday, April 6.

Noted deaf artist Charles "Chuck" Baird passes away
Noted deaf artist Charles "Chuck" Baird, E-'72, passed away at age 64 on Friday, February 10, in Austin, Tex., after a four-year battle with cancer.
Race Fred Drake, Sr., '38, last living member of Gallaudet's legendary 1934 football team, passes away
Race Drake, who played in Gallaudet's first Homecoming football game in 1934, and was on campus in 2009 to mark the 75th anniversary of Homecoming, passed away peacefully on February 16.
Board of Trustees Emeritus Robert "Sandie" Sanderson passes away
The University mourns the passing of a prominent alumnus who played a major role at Gallaudet. Robert "Sandie" Sanderson, a member of the Class of 1941, passed away on February 25, just five days after his 92nd birthday.

Gallaudet 5K Walk/Run for NAD youth
Kappa Gamma Fraternity is proud to announce the Gallaudet 5K! Come join in on Saturday, April 7 for a walk or run around Gallaudet's beloved campus. Proceeds from this event will benefit the National Association of the Deaf's Youth Leadership Programs. Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for college students and youth (18 and under).
