We Are Equal: The National Fraternal Society of the Deaf (NFSD) Exhibition to be held April 7, 2018 at the Chapel Hall Museum.
The Dr. Frank B Sullivan Memorial Foundation and the Gallaudet University Museum are co-hosting the second NFSD exhibit on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Chapel Hall Museum at the conclusion of the Gallaudet University Alumni Association's (GUAA) 49th Charter Day brunch and awards program. Admission is free. See the attached flyer for more event information. Plan "to hit two birds with one stone" by celebrating the deserving award recipients and attend the NFSD exhibit.

Names of Alumni Who Passed Away in 2017 Listed
The Office of Alumni Relations lists the Gallaudet alumni who passed away last year. A total of 85 Gallaudet alumni who are known to have passed away during 2017 are listed alphabetically with full name, class year, and date of death. The Office of Alumni Relations is proud of the lifetime accomplishments of each of our alumni and wishes to honor the memory of those who left us in 2017.

Board of Trustees announces passing of Nanette Fabray, H-'72, honorary member
Nanette Fabray passed away on February 22, 2018. Ms. Fabray, a noted actress, singer, and dancer, was a long-time friend of Gallaudet, serving as honorary member of the Board of Trustees since 1974.

Gallaudet athletics to retire Tamijo Foronda, '08, Ronda Jo Miller '02 women's volleyball jerseys on Oct. 26, 2018
The Gallaudet University athletics department will retire two women's volleyball jerseys on Friday, Oct. 26, during Homecoming 2018 festivities. A special event to honor Tamijo Foronda Coleman, '08 and Ronda Jo Miller Donatucci, '02 will take place from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Field House on Padden Court. This will be a ticketed event with lunch being served after the ceremony. More information about the event will be shared and announced at a later date.

Free State Chapter to Host Happy Hour March 23
The Free State Chapter of the Gallaudet University Alumni Association (GUAA) is hosting happy hour on Friday, March 23 at Union Jack's British Pub in Columbia, MD. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. and is open to alumni and friends. Click on the link to see the flyer for more information.

SAVE THE DATE!  Fundraising Event for the DE & PKZ Woman Scholarship!
The International Alumnae of Delta Epsilon Sorority (IADES) and National Organization of the Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority (NPKZ) joined forces in 2012 to establish the DE & PKZ Woman Scholarship Fund, to support single mother students at Gallaudet University.  There will be a fundraiser on September 22nd. Alumni Experience in Workplace Needed for Student Survey
Yunhe Bai, an undergraduate student from China, is doing a survey on Deaf and Hard of Hearing's experiences in the hearing workplace in the United States. He wants to see if there are ways to make their experiences more positive. To participate, please click on the link and fill out the survey by April 22.
