Gallaudet Reunion Tickets Going Quickly
With over 1000 tickets sold, only a limited number of tickets are available. Register quickly if you don't want to miss out on this once in a lifetime historical event! The last day to register is June 23, 2014.

GUAA to host Gallaudet Golf Open at the Gallaudet Reunion
The Gallaudet University Alumni Association is hosting the Gallaudet Golf Open on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Glen Dale Country Club in Glenn Dale, Md. Registration is open until June 23. Proceeds from this event will go to Gallaudet University students.

Deaf Stories Corpus!
The Deaf Studies Dept. which will be celebrating its 20th anniversary during the Gallaudet Reunion along with the ASL Dept needs your input! As a way to honor and celebrate both departments achievements, we are seeking Deaf Stories Corpus which is a plethora of short stories from alumni! Open the link for more information.

Senator Harkin to speak at 2014 Commencement Exercises
On Tuesday, May 6, President Hurwitz informed the campus community Senator Harkin, who has been a staunch supporter of Gallaudet University and of the deaf and hard of hearing community throughout the nation would be one of two speakers at commencement on Friday, May 16. The official commencement speaker is Philip W. Bravin, '66.

Student speakers for Commencement announced
Provost Stephen Weiner, '78 & G-'80, announced in an April 15 email to the campus community the student speakers for the 145th annual Commencement exercises, which will be held on Friday, May 16 beginning at 1:30 p.m. in the Field House.

Gallaudet Partners with Office of Personnel Management to Expand Career Opportunities for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Federal Employees
Gallaudet University has established a collaborative agreement with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to promote educational skill development and career advancement opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing Federal employees enrolled in the university's Masters of Public Administration (MPA) program.

Gallaudet's Lynn Ray Boren to receive USA Volleyball's Rebecca B. Howard Star Award
Gallaudet University women's volleyball head coach Lynn Ray Boren, '96, has been selected to receive the USA Volleyball (USAV) Rebecca B. Howard Star Award for his part in positively impacting diversity in the sport of volleyball. Boren will be honored at the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Annual Coaches Convention in Oklahoma City, Okla., at the Cox Convention Center on December 17-21.
