GUAA Announces 2014 Award Winners
The Gallaudet University Alumni Association and its Laurent Clerc Cultural Fund have announced the recipients of their 2014 awards. All six awards will be presented during the Gallaudet Reunion, to be held July 9 to 13 on Kendall Green.

Gallaudet to host breakfast, booths at NAD

Gallaudet Names Dr. Carol J. Erting as Provost
Dr. Erting officially becomes provost in July 2014 replacing Dr. Stephen Weiner, who has served as provost since 2007.

Gallaudet Alumnus Named Executive Director of American School for the Deaf
Jeffrey S. Bravin,'92, became the second deaf leader in American School for the Deaf (ASD)'s history to be named Executive Director.

Announcing the Dr. John S. and Dr. Betty J. Schuchman Deaf History Award
Dr. John S. Schuchman and Dr. Betty J. Schuchman created the Schuchman Deaf History Award to encourage research on the lives and experiences of deaf people and their communities.

Explore the 150-Year History of America's First University for Deaf Students
This heavily illustrated chronicle traces the development of the only liberal arts university for the deaf through its 150-year existence, in the process becoming a modern, comprehensive American university. There is a 20% discount for alumni who would like to purchase the book.

Men's soccer program set to return at Gallaudet in 2015
The Gallaudet University men's soccer program will return in 2015 as announced by Athletic Director Michael Weinstock. The men's soccer program suspended operation a year ago as the athletics department re-evaluated the program.

Casey Hicks becomes first Bison to be named D3baseball.com All-American
Gallaudet University senior catcher Casey Hicks made school history as he became the first Bison to earn D3baseball.com All-American honors as he landed on the 2014 second team. The national website that covers NCAA Division III baseball has selected All-American teams since 2007.
