GUAA Seeks Nominations for the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees
The Gallaudet University Alumni Association (GUAA) is seeking nominations for an alumni who has graduated from Gallaudet to serve on the Gallaudet University Board of Trustees (BOT). Dr. Harvey Goodstein, '65, was the GUAA nominee then selected to serve on the BOT in 2005. He is currently serving his fourth and final term which ends in October 2017. The deadline to submit nominations is September 1, 2016.

Gallaudet to have booths at NAD Conference and DeafNation Expo
The alumni relations office has been hard at work preparing for booths at two different conferences happening at the same time - National Association of the Deaf (NAD) in Phoenix, AZ (July 5-9) and DeafNation World Expo in Las Vegas, NV (July 5-8).

Dr. Ronald Stern Selected as Vice President of Clerc Center
Dr. Ronald Stern, '73, currently interim superintendent of New York School for the Deaf (Fanwood), has been selected as the next vice president of the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center here at Gallaudet University. Dr. Stern will assume his new position in July 2016.

Gallaudet recognized as one of the 50 most historically notable colleges in America
Gallaudet University? was mentioned in the "50 of The Most Historically Notable Colleges In America" article. Way to go, Gallaudet!

Nyle DiMarco, '13, congratulated by many following DWTS victory
Soon after Nyle DiMarco, '13, and professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd won the Mirrorball for Season 22 of "Dancing with the Stars," accolades poured into social media, online publications, and television. Click the link to see just a few of the congratulatory comments honoring DiMarco's tremendous accomplishment, along with his thanks to the deaf community worldwide.
