Alumni eNewsletter: Gallaudet Golf Open coming in April (Archives)

On Thursday, April 24, 2008, the Gallaudet University Alumni Association (GUAA) will host the Gallaudet Golf Open (GGO) at the Cross Creek Golf Club in Beltsville, Maryland. Dr. Davila is the honorary chair of the event and Bernard "Bernie" Brown, ’70, is heading the organizing committee. The goal is to raise funds for Gallaudet University students. This is one great way for alumni to show support for the University.

The GGO will use the shotgun, scramble (Captain's Choice) format. As of this posting, 13 teams are coming. If more than 30 teams sign up, there will be TWO shotgun starts--one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Alumni, chapters, and friends wanting to send a team can request an entry form at Registration fee is $600 per team.

Additionally, there are various sponsorship opportunities for individuals or businesses. Please check the website or contact Bernie Brown at All proceeds from this fundraising event will be earmarked for student scholarships at Gallaudet.

Prizes are being developed and will be announced once everything is finalized. Gift bags will be given to each team member and there will be a super buffet after the golfers finish their round.

For more information, see flyer (PDF) and/or view the registration form (PDF).
