Special Note: The campus community received a memo from Duane Haliburton, '85, Chair of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) with updates on who will serve on it. For further information on the PSAC, the full PSAC has been posted on the Gallaudet Presidential search web portal: http://www.gallaudet.edu/board_of_trustees/presidential_search.html
Dear Campus Community,
I am pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has formed a Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) to lead the process for the selection of the next President of Gallaudet University and to recommend finalists to the Board of Trustees.
The 16-member PSAC includes representatives from the Board of Trustees, students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The PSAC will be assisted by the search consulting firm of Bridge Partners and, of course, you - the key stakeholders both on and off campus.
We are committed to transparency, integrity, and engagement in this process and we are motivated and energized to begin to solicit your input on the selection of the next President of Gallaudet University.
As was announced last Friday during the board's business meeting, the members of the PSAC are:
Board of Trustees:
Duane Halliburton, Chair, PSAC
Claire Bugen, Vice Chair, PSAC
Student Body Government:
Graduate Student Association:
Teresa Blankmeyer Burke
Glenn Lockhart, representing Clerc Center
In the next several weeks, the PSAC will be formulating and then announcing a variety of forums in which the campus community can participate and provide feedback. In the interim, members of the campus community are encouraged to provide feedback through firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to working with all of you during this exciting time in the University's history.
