Alumni eNewsletter: Campus traffic, parking modifications on Homecoming Day (Archives)

As in the past, all available parking on campus will be utilized on Homecoming Day. There will be a temporary lift of zone restrictions.

All four gates except for the sixth street gate which is currently undergoing construction will be available for entry and exit for Homecoming Day events. To compensate for the closing of the sixth street gate, the seventh street gate next to the gatehouse will be open.

Patterns will be altered to accommodate pedestrian traffic near Hotchkiss Field and at the front of the campus near College Hall and Chapel Hall.

Please be aware of the following:

· Lincoln Circle will be closed to vehicular traffic from the Field House to Lowman Circle for the entire day’s activities.

· Between 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (approximately) the entrance gate at Florida Ave. and 8th St. will be closed if the parking lot at Field House is full. Please enter via any other campus gate.

· Between 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (approximately) Lowman Circle in front of College Hall and Chapel Hall will be closed to vehicles to accommodate class pictures.

Please adhere to parking restrictions in areas that are coned off. When a parking lot is full, it will be coned off to indicate that no more parking spaces are available. Please do not remove/move any of the cones.

Please use caution when crossing streets, especially if you park in the overflow lot on 6th St.

Please make sure to display handicap permits if you are parked in a handicap parking spot. Vehicles that violate handicap parking regulations will be ticketed and possibly towed.

As always, please obey all posted speed limits and parking regulations.

Have a safe and enjoyable Homecoming.

GO BISON!
