Alumni eNewsletter: Reflections from the Gallaudet Museum (Archives)

The year has come and gone so quickly, but not without seeing our great accomplishment: The grand opening of the Gallaudet at 150 and Beyond exhibition which took place on Charter Day. We were floored by so many people showing up for this very special occasion and received overwhelming words of praises and support. We thank you.

None of this would have been possible without your help; your donations have helped us tremendously. We are very grateful for your support, encouragement and your stories. Yes, your stories are the hallmark of our exhibition, and will be passed on to generations yet to come.

As you know, the work of the Gallaudet Museum is not finished, it is ongoing and growing. We have more exciting exhibitions coming up in 2015. The exhibition Making A Difference: Deaf Peace Corps Volunteers, located in the Weyerhaeuser Family Gallery and Exhibition Hall of the I. King Jordan Student Academic Center, will be replaced this Spring by an exhibit on Deaf women. Later in the year, we will add two more rotating exhibitions in the Chapel Hall. These rotating exhibits will complete the first phase; later phases of the Museum will open in the years to come!

The season of Thanksgiving is here now and the season of Giving is upon us. We need your help - please continue to support us through online financial contributions. Online giving is safe and operated by the Office of Development at Gallaudet University. This is a perfect time for an end of year, tax-deductible contribution!

In the mean time, please stay connected with us by subscribing to our bimonthly newsletter, Our Story. You can also check out our website and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

The Gallaudet University Museum staff wishes all of you a splendid holiday season.
