Connecticut Chapter

The chapter is pleased to award a $400 scholarship for the academic year of 2005-2006 to a student from the state of Connecticut currently enrolled at Gallaudet. The receipent is Alexandra Benjamin, a freshman. Congratulations, Alexandra!

Menu: "Taverne Buffet" and "New England Buffet" including Ziti and Italian sausage, stuffed flounder florentine, sliced breast of stuffed chicken, fresh vegetable, wheat rice and, of course, ice cream with chocolate sauce dessert.

Aloha State (Hawaii) Chapter

21 Gallaudet alumni and five children had an opportunity to listen to Gallaudet's Admissions Office Director Charity Reedy-Hines, '89 & G-'97, at Dave & Buster Ward Center on Monday, Nov. 21. Charity told all the marveloous news about Gallaudet University and its remarkable accomplishments.

Theme: “Historical Perspective of Deaf Art: Who Painted It and Why?”.
Note: A reception will be in the parlor on the second floor of Jacobs Hall after the banquet. It will offer you a great opportunity to meet Dr. Deborah B. Meranski, the featured banquet speaker who is a Professor Emeritus at Gallaudet University where she taught Art History/Museum Studies, as well as to socialize with your friends. Please buy your ticket as soon as possible. There will be no tickets sold at the door nor at the KSD Business Office. Howard Palmer, '59, served as a chapter liason officer. He passed away on Oct. 30, 2005. His involvment will be much missed.

Tucson (Arizona) Chapter

Event: Annual Holiday Party
Date: Friday, Dec. 9, 2005
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: El Charro Café, 311 N. Court Ave. – Downtown Tucson

Two private cozy rooms for approximately 26 people are reserved. The bar is next to our rooms. You’ll enjoy the pleasant Mexican atmosphere and also, your own delicious menu selection (prices range: $6 to $15). Let’s meet at the bar first from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The rooms will open for us from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.. After eating, we can go back to the bar from 7 p.m. to ??

We will have our traditional “White Elephant” game. Please bring a nice or new gift worth approx. $10. Please have it gift-wrapped. For the person who has the “Gally Dog”, please bring it back to the game. To keep the game short, a couple could bring one gift instead of one for each.

Let’s wear Gallaudet tops or hats to the party to show our Bison spirits

Pay your membership dues of $10 to Brandon Decker at the restaurant.

Any of you who are not GUAA member could make a donation too. Other than having a blast, the purpose of the party is to raise money to support ASDB graduates attending Gallaudet University.
